Title: HRM practices under uncertain scenarios: a qualitative analysis

Abstract:
Uncertain times such as the COVID-19 pandemic brought about a forced reassessment of human resource management practices across the globe. The unexpected pandemic promoted firms and stakeholders to think differently to keep the business momentum going. Several studies were done, challenges were identified and new practices emerged in the corporate sector in the context of uncertain times. The study is in two stages, one is the standard review of literature and second is a special focus on 10 research papers using the software ATLAS. This study is intended to analyse the published content on the pandemic to highlight issues and challenges while suggesting solutions and future research directions. A total of 72 published research papers and articles were reviewed in the study, eight papers were post 2020 (COVID-19 crisis). Negative HRM sentiments were observed to dominate the positive sentiments during the pandemic. The research is expected to add to the existing literature on the subject which will be imperative and prolific to all related stakeholders.
